Before You Submit

HTML Syntax Checks

1. Links should be relative (except in the Navbars)
2. !Doctype included.
3. Validate at w3c.org

Accessibility

1. Alt tag all graphics for the visually impaired
2. Text between <a href=>...</a> tags when listed in link list should clearly indicate...
   • what information is being linked to
   • what format it's in (is it another page, another site, downloadable file,
   • any warnings, from Java to file size (especially for images).
3. test with JAWS
4. *Review w3.org accessibility specs*

Webpage Consistency Checks

1. Current Authorship section included
2. Main Header Navbar included
3. Customized Footer Navbar included
4. Long Page? Is there a Header Abstract and/or Linked Main Points Box?
5. Really Long Page? Is there a Table of Contents for the page (with frequent links back to it), and/or intra page links liberally sprinkled throughout.
6. Nav tools included? Light to Dark flip and deluxe Nav bar link (?)
7. Spell checked? If nothing else, copy and paste webpage from browser into a word processor and run spell/grammar check.

Before We Post

Final Pre-Upload Checks

1. Review all Submission Final Checks
2. Compatibility issues? Check each webpage feature on multiple browsers and systems.
3. List webpage in all reference shelf indexes.
   • SiteIndex
   • TOC (Table of Contents)
   • CSAlphabetical
   • CSECANCodes
   • Chapter Central
4. List links in LinkList.html and LinkListReverse.html.
5. List all new images in ImageIndex.html and ImageTOC.html.
6. Check Authorship section for accurate dates and updated authors.

Post-Upload Checks

1. Test all links to be sure they work
2. Test all features of the page
