Dr. Corbett was born and raised in Rockville Center, NY. His profession is a family tradition; his father and brother also chose to be doctors. Following in his father’s footsteps, Paul graduated from Medical School at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. After a rotating internship at the County Hospital, Fresno, California, he completed his residency in Otolaryngology/Head & Neck surgery at the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary in NYC.
After 23 years in private practice in Merced, CA, he returned to active duty in the United States Navy. He served aboard five different ships as Medical Department Head and sole medical provider or Officer in Charge of a Fleet Surgical Team prior to and during the Gulf War as well as in Somalia with Marine Expeditionary Units. He retired with the rank of Captain/MC/USNR-R in 1995. Once again he returned to the Pacific to be Wake Island’s only physician. He is the father of five children. He currently resides with his family in San Diego, CA.
